CAMI Evaluation results online

Dear metagenome method developers,

we are happy to announce the first evaluation results of the CAMI challenge. Check out https://data.cami-challenge.org/analyse to browse the first evaluation results for assembly, binning and profiling.

We are currently working on combined visualizations for the binning and profiling evaluation metrics. We will also publish more metrics for the profiling tools soon, so check the web site frequently for updates in the coming weeks.

CAMI metagenome binning and profiling challenge deadline extended to July 18 2015, 6:00am UTC

Dear metagenome method developers,

due to several requests by CAMI participants, we decided to
extend the deadline for the CAMI metagenome binning and profiling
challenge to

July 18, 2015, 6:00am UTC.

If you need help in building a Docker container for your tool, feel free to contact us and we will provide technical support.

Thanks for your feedback!

CAMI metagenome binning and profiling challenge closing soon!

Dear metagenome method developers,

the second submission deadline of CAMI, namely for submitting binning and profiling results is approaching:

July 3, 2015, 4:00am UTC

We would like to get some feedback from you whether you are participating in the binning/profiling challenge and if you will be able to submit on time.

CAMI metagenome assembly challenge deadline extended to 20 May 2015, 6:00am CEST

Dear metagenome method developers,

due to several requests by CAMI participants, we decided to
extend the deadline for the CAMI metagenome assembly
challenge to

May 20, 2015, 6:00am CEST

Accordingly, the deadline for submitting binning and profiling
results (both read or contig based) will be extended to

CAMI metagenome assembly challenge closing soon!

Dear metagenome method developers,

The first submission deadline of CAMI, namely for submitting assembly
results of the raw read data sets is approaching (May 8, 2015).
Note that the deadline for submitting binning and profiling results
(both read or contig based) is June 19, 2015 and the contigs will
be provided as soon as the assembly challenge has ended!

We would like to get some feedback from you whether you are
participating in the assembly challenge and if you will be able to
submit on time.

CAMI Challenge is Now Open for Participation

Dear metagenome method developers,

The first challenge of the Initiative for the Critical Assessment of Metagenome Interpretation (CAMI) begins right now! Over the last three months, we received valuable feedback from the community playing with our toy data sets. We incorporated many of your suggestions, thanks again!

Today, we proudly release the official data sets for the CAMI challenge.
