Dear colleagues,

only 4 weeks are left until our special session at ISMB/ECCB 2017 (SST02). In this session, we will kick-start the new MICROBIOME COSI, which is supposed to establish a platform for developers and users of computational methods in microbiome research within the ISCB.

We invite you all to register to the ISMB/ECCB 2017 and to join our Session SST02.

CAMI Evaluation results online

Dear metagenome method developers,

we are happy to announce the first evaluation results of the CAMI challenge. Check out to browse the first evaluation results for assembly, binning and profiling.

We are currently working on combined visualizations for the binning and profiling evaluation metrics. We will also publish more metrics for the profiling tools soon, so check the web site frequently for updates in the coming weeks.

CAMI metagenome binning and profiling challenge deadline extended to July 18 2015, 6:00am UTC

Dear metagenome method developers,

due to several requests by CAMI participants, we decided to
extend the deadline for the CAMI metagenome binning and profiling
challenge to

July 18, 2015, 6:00am UTC.

If you need help in building a Docker container for your tool, feel free to contact us and we will provide technical support.

Thanks for your feedback!

CAMI metagenome binning and profiling challenge closing soon!
